Bio:
Tom Loughlin has been a photographer since his father entrusted him with a Kodak Instamatic camera at age four. He began using digital cameras three decades later. Tom studied English literature and filmmaking at Dartmouth College, and received a J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.
His project "After the Flood" depicted New Orleans and the surrounding area a year after Hurricane Katrina. It raised thousands of dollars for a rebuilding fund. His current project, "pictures of you: Images from Iran" is a traveling outdoor multimedia installation featuring photographs of Iranian citizens printed on translucent silk.
In 2008, Tom was honored by the Banff Film Festival for his image "all that dies..." In 2009, he was honored by the Webby Awards for Best Use of Photography on his website www.picturesofyouIran.com
