Soudabeh Moradian

she is an Iranian filmmaker currently residing in Los Angeles. she graduated in 1995 from Tehran Art University, Cinema & Theatre campus, majored in cinema and started her career in Film Directing and editing in 1995. she has created so many documentaries and short fiction films in Iran, Afghanistan and Iraq which have been in official selection of various international film festivals and a number of them have won many awards. Most Recently she has made a TV series “les chroniques d’iran” for France “Arte TV” Channel which is available on their site for viewing. Her latest 60 minutes feature-lenght documentary ”Doomsday Machine” was produced in 2009 and so far it has been presented in “Document7 international human rights film festival” in Glasgow Scotland and “DOCSDF” international film festival in Mexico City. ”Doomsday Machine” was nominated in DOCSDF for the best TV Documentary. Most of her documentaries are social and she has made a trilogy about “War and Madness” ……. she was vice president of IRDFA (Iranian Documentary Filmmakers Association) before leaving Iran!
