Public Art Project - Mehregan 2008

This is an art event that engages people in art, and through art imagining world peace. Interactive Art has the advantage of engaging people with the concept rather than having them just as an audience. Interactive art also promotes a sense of community and unity and creates a warm and friendly environment by connecting people together. It is a reminder of the emotional and intellectual power of Art and the effect of art in everyday life.
In this art piece, there is be a large blank canvas installed on a wooden board. We provided paint, brushes and markers for people and ask everyone to paint their own idea about peace. Each person gets to express her/ his ideas and feelings about the concept "Peace." 
There was a sign on top of the canvas stating " Imagine Peace."
After two days, we had an art piece made by 10,000 Iranians expressing their own version of what peace means to them.
