Sadegh Aref
Iranian Visual Artists features the work of Sadegh Aref on Wednesday
November 10, 2010. A virtual tour of Mr. Aref’s work created by Ms.
Nahid Nazemi will be screened. Additionally, Mr. Aref will perform an
Art Demo (Live Painting) during the session. There will be a Q & A
session at the end of the presentation. A reproduction (giclee’) of one
of Mr. Aref’s works will be awarded by raffle.
Biography
Sadegh Aref was born in Shiraz. His passion for painting started in his
childhood. He credits his moment of breakthrough to a trip to a youth
camp. His classical style and training was challenged by his new
discovery of works by Lautrec, Renoir and Modigliani. He migrated to
U.S. in 1983 and after many years he has established and refined his
own style of painting.
His style can be a considered a combination of impressionism, cubism
and abstract. His individual work has been exhibited in more than 20
galleries. His group work has been exhibited in around 200 galleries.
