Rumi & The Way of Ecstasy
3-Day Workshop and Performance with Banafsheh Sayyad and renowned mystic and writer, Andrew Harvey at the beautiful Kripalu retreat center in upper Massachusetts
Give me ecstasy,
Give me naked wonder oh my Beloved,
Give Birth to the Beloved in me, and let this Lover die!
Let a thousand wrangling desires become one blazing love.
These lines from the great mystical poet Rumi describe the longing that leads the heart to break open and give birth to the divine human. Prepare yourself for passionate discipline and exuberant JOY!
Andrew and Banafsheh invite you to dive into Rumi's transforming practice of surrender through ecstatic worship, dance, music, teachings, and poetry. Dynamic sessions inspired by readings will allow you to progressively open to deep listening with the heart, shaking, chanting, whirling, moving with wild abandon, and resting in deep calm.
Rumi's vision of sacred passion in action is returning to galvanize the hearts and minds of humanity. Immerse yourself in a sacred field of empowering grace while learning a body-based practice that supports you in living with reverence and joy from your deepest and holiest passion-in the very midst of life.
Open to All, this workshop is held in one of the most beautiful retreat sites in the US, nestled in the lush forests of upper Massachusetts.
Banafsheh and Andrew will also perform Eshqh - Love's Wild Fire, an evening of ecstatic dance and poetry on Saturday, July 25th.
